Yah, what they said - I can’t believe how many idiots have put up videos on youtube disquised as this fight - so, yah, thanks for posting this. My take on things?? Forest is a fine example of just how much psychopathic qualities can do for a man in today’s society - from day one I’ve thought there was something relatively unique about him and have wondered if he experiences life in the same fashion as most of us. The way he carries himself, the way he jokes……he presents himself as the absolute contradiction of the person he becomes in the ring. He’s an admirable twist of alpha-male traits - in other words, he’s crazy and I love it! Rampage….the guy is just terrifying. I think that most people would be downed by just one of his punches! Even forest said that his arms were sore from blocking Rampage’s attacks! Anyway, fight definately goes to forest. To question this fight’s outcome is ridiculous - even rampage admits he got his ass whooped.

Thank you for posting this fight! You tube is not that great for UFC. Listen both fighters are great. Forest has sloppy kicks and turns his back alot. Quinton got hurt bad with them leg kicks. I give the fight to Forest. By God just getting in the ring with Quinton Rampage Jackson says alot for any man.
Silva showed us how to beat Rampage with Knees to the head. Griffen showed us how to beat Rmapage with kicks to the leg. In my career I have always been big on chop the tree. Its very hard to do anything if you cannot stand up.
Jackson will have an answer for the leg kicks and the knees in the second fight. I wonder what the retarded crazy insaine cerial killa Griffin has got up his sleeve.

This good. Punch alot and kicks too. Blood and damage to people and the pain. The blood runs out and they fix this. All the kings horses and all the kings men make repairs. Money
Fantastic fight - the crowd was awesome for the first few rounds, but Jackson wasn’t aggressive enough. The slam was awesome, but Forest countered it! Forest out-moved him, out-wrestled him, and buckled his legs - and the most important thing = Forest didn’t get knocked out by his punches. Rampage hurt Forest, but he never attacked enough, he only counter-punched, and I kept waiting for him to show why he was the champ, but he never did. Rampage is more dangerous, but he just got out-fought. Forest wanted it more and that’s why he has the belt.
Stupid crowd ruined Forest’s big moment - I hate ungrateful crowds - they saw a near knockout, a buckling leg, a fully mounted Jackson (let’s see Chuck Liddell do that), a body slam with a counter, a cut eye, a great ground escape, two guys fought for 25 minutes straight, a crazy yet friendly and humble guy who everyone hoped would someday become the champion wins - and they still boo.

watched the fight 5 times now and i think the judges got it backwards, quinton won rounds 1,3,and 5, while griffin won 2 and 4. jackson didn’t really think he got his ass whooped it’s just he isn’t a complainer and know nobody likes sore losers. the whole arena booed when the winner was announced and griffin was in his home town as fan fav.
thanks for the fight. Griffin fights a clever fight for once and rampage looked like he underestimated griffin and never put the work in. Maybe he should work harder in training and less on pulling scary faces. well done griffin

To be the champ you must beat the champ is the motto i’ve always been told. This did not happen, but you can’t argue with the judges decision???
Yea, that was a great fight but the result was a sham. Rampage was robbed. When did UFC become boxing?? I’ve watched UFC ever since UFC 1… and the motto has been to reward the fighter trying to win the fight, NOT reward the fighter to just goes out to spar for points. In my opinion, Forrest Griffin was sparring for points… single jabs, very weak knee strikes in the clinch, rubbing your elbow around Rampages face in an effort to create cuts and imitating real elbow strikes. One tell-tell sign for me was that Forrest Griffin ran from nearly every heavy exchange with Rampage… wasn’t Griffin the guy who became an instant star for standing up and slugging it out? I defy you to watch that fight again, without the audio… because dumbass Joe Rogan is ruining UFC. For Example, round 4… Forrest Griffin does 2 or 3 things that round.. a Triangle, for which he gets slammed… and he attempts an omaplatta, for which he nearly gets knocked out when Rampage releases from it. However, Rogan claims that Forrest has won that round for those 2 moves… but what did Rampage do, 1) he wobbled Griffen with an early combo 2) he got got top control when Griffen failed a take down to avoid more striking damage 3) Rampage slammed Forrest 4)Rampage wobbled Griffen with a combo after the failed omaplatta attempt 5) Continued to land combos and ended the round with a nice closing combo 6) 70/30 of the round’s standup was spent with Griffen dancing backwards from Rampage’s combos 7) Rampage cut Griffen with strikes. So, if you listen to Joe Rogan, Griffin somehow won that round… Rogan is jiu jitsu biased.
While we’re talking about rewatching things, go rewatch round 2. Does Griffen really do that much while in control position? He spends the majority of the round by rubbing his forearm/elbow around Rampages face… trying to create cuts or annoy Rampage. I don’t think those actions are pointable though. Granted, Rampage isn’t trying to get up… but why should he, he wasn’t under much durress… he just had a dead weight laying on him, rubbing elbows on his face. Every once in a while, Griffin would punch or elbow…
UFC is not BOXING. You don’t get points for punches thrown or “working”… you get points for doing things to win/end the fight. Seriously, look at some of the “strikes” and moves that Rogan claims was “working”… quite are few of them were about a solid as a game of patty cake… and they ended up only hitting air. Actually, the most evident of these is during round 4 or 5… Griffin throws up a leg kick and it misses Rampage by a good 2 or 3 feet. Rampage doesn’t even move, but Rogan yells about the front kick… I just wanted to yell, “yo Rogan, this isn’t a Karate demonstration so why are you yelling about a kick that missed by 3 feet”.
There is no way Griffen won that fight… It should have been a draw, or Rampage should have retained his belt.
If you do not like decisions, I hate when a fight goes to a decision or a judgement. Then call the UFC and tell them you would like to see a return of the old rules from the beginning of UFC. NO TIME LIMIT. FIGHT UNTIL SOMEONE IS KNOCKED OUT, SUBMITTED, OR THROWS IN THE TOWEL. That would end most of the controversy. If your going to wine about how the UFC is run now, then stop watching it. If you stop atching then maybe they will get the hint that this decision bull crap is just bullcrap, to easy to fake a win. I am not saying Forest won or lost in my opinion, I am just saying he won in the opinion of the judges like it or not hes the champ. Don’t blame the judges, blame Rampage for not knocking out griffin when he had the chance. Blame UFC for new bullshit rules, and blame yourself for being a crybaby

i think it was a good fight but i think someone higher up than dana white had money on this fight and needed forest to win. look up some scoring techniques….reversals score way more then leg kicks…and not to mention rampage punched off his head…Joe rogan is an idiot too and should watch more of the fighting and less of the fighters ass…tryin to say forrest was winning after four…dont get me wrong i love forrest nothin against him, great fighter and also great attitude….but i think this where the ufc starts goin to the dogs…next thing you kno they will be reading scripts…if it keeps goin this way…im gonna have to resort to watching kimbo’s street fights….at least they re not fixed….fuck that ….the ufc has monopolized fighting what else are spose to watch yomamma…….

Andy boy. Forrest took as much time off as Rampage. He simply wanted it more, out classed and out fought the so called chump, I mean champ. Also, you idiots that are trying to convince youselves that Jackson won the fight, pull your heads out of your @$$. Forrest was clearly in control for 22 or 23 minutes of the 25 minute fight. Someone stated that to be the champ you have to beat the champ. Well to be the champ you also have to defend yourself as the champ. Jackson did not give a champions performance, how could anyone convince even themselves that Jackson should be the champion after that performance. One more thing, someone stated that this is turning into boxing because Forrest appeared to be trying to earn points to win the fight. Neither fighter inflicted any major damage on the other (except maybe the damage on Jacksons knee, he could bare stand throughout the entire fight, probably has a torn ACL), what else can the judges base their scoring on in a case like this.

that was such a ssick fight. I love it when fights are mostly standing up throwing punches and kicks.(grapples are still ok though). anyways thanks for postring this. It took me so long to find this fight. these are 2 awesome fighters who both respect eachother and don’t talk too much shit before the fight. in the end though they both saw eachothers unique skills, strengths, and weaknesses which made them respect eachother so much. again thanks for uploading this. great fight.

man you guys really like to bitch. you could see each round jackson wasn’t the hungry man. he lost his steam a wouldnt fight to better his possition. even though griffin didnt knock him out or tap him he still kept the same consistancy each round and did let up. it was a legitimate win and a good fight.
