Strikeforce: “Hey, let’s bring in a “no name” fighter who will be scared of Kim Couture and not fight back. This will make Kim look like she’s one of the best. Then, in a few years, maybe Randy will want to be on a card.”
    ‘All in Favor, say Aye”

That fight/joke was put together so Kim can get her first win. This means that Strikeforce will continue to put her on the cards in hopes of luring Randy in.

The best part of the fight was when Lina was punching Kim on her left breast while in the clinch.

I agree. It was painful to watch; almost a setback for female mma.

I so agree. She really sucks.I think Randy might be going now that he got destroyed by a WWF wrestler. Well, in all fairness Lesner is just a monster, and a good wrestler with a 30 lb fist, lol. That wouldn’t be a fun fight for anyone.

    Wow,

That wasn’t almost a setback. That was a definate setback. I’ve seen celebrity boxing fights that were more entertaining than that. If Strikeforce puts out any more fights like that, they might kill every bit of momentum that they developed for female MMA as a profesional sport. That girl had no buisness being in the ring, you could tell before the bell even rang. It wasn’t even that she was just scared. The way she held herself, her arms, her stance.

She looked like a little kid mimicking the pose of a fighter, instead of actually BEING one.

One word sums it up, “Embarrassing.”

I think she did just fine, VERY aggressive, throwing knees the whole time, and for ‘newbie’ she kicked some serious ass. Kvokov got a few in, but she already was outclassed by someone that has spent a lot of time with the best fighters, and had stated she’d never come out timidly again. I think she’s improved by leaps and bounds in her short career. She looks to be past that “”spazzy white belt”" stage. Besides, had Kvokov busted her up, everyone would be ‘hatin’ Kim regardless.

seems Kvokov lasted longer than Terry Martin…. hmmmm, so much for that ‘experience’ thing….= in the words of the great Iggy Pop: “Ya pays yer money, ya takes yer chances”

Just for clarification’s sake, my commentary was directed at Kvokov. I have no opinion of Cotoure yet, as this is the only fight I have seen her in and to be honest, I have a hard time calling this a fight so much as a beating. You don’t judge a fighter’s credentials from an incident like this. I can say that and still judge Kvokov, because obviously… she isn’t a fighter.

Wow that was amazing!! I wonder if Cotoure will fight someone who is say… a fighter? My wife is a muay thai fighter at 120 in Las Vegas and has never fought MMA but would gladly beat Cotoure down heavy like with sugar and everything.
Seriously though, my wife was supposed to fight at Kim’s first fight and Cotoure’s gym wouldn’t let their fighter fight my wife. They just hand pick all their fights like this one. That is sad comming from a real fighter like Randy. These announcers sound paid off too.

I didn’t think I was ready to turn professional as a female MMA fighter, but after seeing this I will consider it. Obviously, they will let fighters who should still be amateurs fight professionals. Are female fighters that hard to find. I hope not, because I am looking for opponents to challenge me. I hope I don’t have to end up leaving the country to find a decent fight.
