Analysis
Round 1. Both fighters come out strong and Tate gets a takedown against the cage. Tate lands in Maxwell’s full guard. Tate fights to move to full mount and eventually makes it. Maxwell tries to push off the cage and rolls to get out. Tate grabs an arm for an arm bar and Maxwell fights her off by locking up her head. Tate pulls the arm bar straight just as the round ends.
Round 2. Tate gets another takedown, but Maxwell tangles her up in the process. Tate moves to full mount and starts throwing punches. Maxwell gets Tate locked with her legs but Tate pulls away and is back to side mount.
Round 3. Tate goes right for the takedown again and Maxwell tries to fight it off with a few kicks. Tate pushes them up against the cage. The ref separates them and takes Maxwell straight back to the cage. Maxwell maneuvers around to Tate’s back and ties up an arm. Tate manages to hang on to the end of the round, however.

Looks like Maxwell tapped out on Tate’s thigh in first round…..great fight. VERY ENTERTAINING!
