Yea, it's always hard to tell if ... someone is "joking" or "sarcastic" via the net.

Bob Sapp is the man.

I was sorta kidding about the comment. (Although it doesn't look good for the UFC, if EliteXC and other orgs pay their fighters better.)

I like these commercials, but my favorite is Bob Sapp. He's way too popular in Japan.

Ivan,

Those were some funny spots! I loved the Wanderlei Mark Coleman commerical, watching those two brutes prance around and rub each other's faces was freaking AWSOME, my wife and I were both rolling.

However, I have to say I disagree with your comment. (Unless of course you were just joking, because of how funny those commercials were. lol ) This isn't what happens with Dana White doesn't pay his fighters enough money. If you look across the sports spectrum, this is what happens when the sport as a whole begins to engrain itself in the social consciousness.

The fact that these commercials are mostly international, and that some are lower end production quality is inconsequential.

In fact, historically, the higher paid an athlete is within any sport, the MORE endorsements that athlete will receive, not the other way around. Take a look at the list of endorsements these fighters are getting brand name recognition with now. Schtick? Dell? These aren't small time.

If anything, I'd say this is hopeful for the sport, not discouraging.
